Compassion

In a country far away from here…
They don't build high-tech packaging machines, they don't get a meatball at lunch, and they don't just make money; even though they work incredibly hard. In Africa, life is tough.
In 2009, it was time. Time to contribute to a better life for children in Africa. This started with linking our colleagues to a sponsor child in Kenya. This way the children can go to school, receive healthy food and medical care. Niverplast takes care of the finances and our colleagues send letters, photos and small supplies.
In October 2011 (25th anniversary) we all visited the children in Kenya. An unforgettable journey with a lot of laughter and tears. After our trip we wanted to help the needed more, so we did what we do best - building a packaging machine for Kenya.
With support of our suppliers we built a fully sponsored CombiPlast in 2014. Our people worked for free, working hours and materials were not calculated and our suppliers provided us with the parts for free. We donated the full amount to Kenya and its children; for those who struggle and without help have no future.
Since this year, we have also been involved in the Child Survival Program. This program ensures that mothers and babies in extreme poverty survive and that children can develop healthily in the first year.
There are 15 pregnant women/mothers in the Child Survival Program and 15 colleagues from Niverplast are linked to the project. They receive assistance from the funding of this project until their child's first birthday. This includes extra food, learning a craft and getting medical care, training and education.
