How it works
Box folding
The plano is taken from the plano store at long and short side with vacuum cups, positioned on a two-sided frame. This frame guarantees a fully square folding without friction between vacuum cup and plano.
Bottom flap folding
While the box is in the squared position the bottom flaps are mechanically folded. After this two side conveyors transport the box towards the bag inserting position where the bottom flaps are taped as well.
Bag opening
During the box erecting cycle a prefabricated bag is picked up by a vacuum gripper. Thanks to the Easy Open system only one bag side is picked up while the other stays onto the bag store.
Bag spreading
The spreading unit takes over the bag from the bag store. In a downward movement the two spreading plates place the bag tightly over the box corners.
Bag inserting
While placing the bag, two folding bars move into the box to position the bag tightly in the box corners. In this way the amount of enclosed air between bag and box is minimized.

The CombiPlast is an automated case erector and bag inserter in one compact machine. It erects corrugated cases, opens prefabricated EasyOpen bags and inserts them perfectly into each box, ready for filling.
The CombiPlast is used in industries such as bakery, meat, fish, dairy, fruit and vegetables, powders, oils and fats, moulding, e-commerce, laundry and many other applications requiring bag-in-box packaging.
The standard machine processes up to 12 boxes per minute. Depending on the configuration, a high speed version is available that reaches up to 18 boxes per minute. Actual capacity depends on box dimensions and material quality.
The machine processes a wide range of box sizes, from 300 × 200 × 60 mm up to 620 × 450 × 350 mm. Custom sizes can also be discussed.
The CombiPlast is designed for prefabricated Niverplast EasyOpen bags. Depending on the application, it can process film thicknesses from approximately 10 microns to more than 200 microns.
Changing to another box or bag size typically takes only 3 to 5 minutes, minimising production downtime.
Yes. Both the carton magazine and the rotating double bag magazine can be replenished while the machine continues running, enabling continuous production.
Prefabricated EasyOpen bags eliminate in-line bag making and sealing, making the machine simpler, more reliable and easier to maintain. They also reduce changeover time and can lower the total packaging cost.
Yes. Accurate bag placement allows the use of thinner bags, reduces waste and minimises labour. Combined with low maintenance requirements, this results in a low total cost of ownership.
The machine features an intuitive 15 inch HMI with recipe management, machine settings and illustrated fault diagnostics. Operators can quickly learn to use the system.
Yes. Every CombiPlast includes remote service capabilities via an Ixon router, allowing Niverplast technicians to provide diagnostics, software updates and remote support. Cloud based performance monitoring is also available as part of our service offering.
