Two-sided robotic crate stacking and sealing

In this automated packaging line, a robot places crates containing moulded products onto a conveyor in groups of four. The crates are then transported to a customized VarioSeal, which automatically lifts the lids and seals the bags.

Thanks to smart sensor technology, the system detects whether a layer contains one, two, three or four crates. The robot automatically adjusts its gripper to pick up and place the correct number of crates.

With both short and long arm movements, the robot can stack and destack crates from two different positions.
