Freeze, package and export fresh products

Noordzee International was founded in 2001. The company started freezing fresh fish products for export. Mainly to Italy, their largest market. They have always had high priorities for innovation and sustainability. That's also the reason why they came to Niverplast. Before they worked with Niverplast, everything within the packaging process was done manually; from setting up the boxes up to stacking them. Very labour intensive, which is why sustainability was needed. At the time, Noordzee International opted for a weight filler machine and a case erector, with automatic bag placing. Afterwards, the box get sealed and stacked on the pallet by a robot. This allows Noordzee International to do all the packaging with just two people!

Packaging partner from the very beginning

Noordzee International was one of the first partners that cooperate with Niverplast. In this cooperation both companies helped out each other to tackle all the teething problems in the beginning. As a result, Noordzee International helped Niverplast to improve its machinery. Now Niverplast visits them only once a year, at the annual maintenance. When there is a malfunction in the meantime, it can usually be solved by phone. The machines are so easy to operate, that most of the time problems can be solved internally by Noordzee International themselves. And if there are spare parts needed, in most cases they already arrive the next day!
