Packing bread in bulk and consumer packaging in one compact line
From building and testing the line to installing it at the customer
Packaging bread in bulk and consumer formats seamlessly within the same packaging line? These challenge was presented to us by one of our customers presented in the bakery sector. Together with them, we tackled this challenge.
Thanks to the speedbatcher in this line, the breads are perfectly separated into batches during the counting process.
For bulk packaging, we relied on our 'Good Old CombiPlast'. The CombiPlast erects the cases and inserts the bags, after which the loaves are deposited in bulk. A tight tape over the boxes ensures the bread is protected for transportation and storage.
For consumer packaging, replicating how end-users expect their delicious bread to be packaged, we utilize Vertical Form Fill Sealing (VFFS). SEPP packs the measured quantities into a bag, which is manufactured on-demand straight from the roll.
The result? A compact line that accommodates both bulk and consumer packaging!
